Shipping & Returns

Shipping Details

Laura Preshong offers Free Shipping on all of your online purchases. All orders are shipped via FedEx, UPS or US Mail. You will receive an email confirmation once your order ships with a tracking number for your convenience. Expedited shipping is available for an additional fee at check out, or contact us with any shipping questions.

All of our jewelry is handmade to order, especially for you and will take from 10 to 14 Business Days to Ship, depending on the design. The shipping time for each item is available under 'Details' in the product listing. Ready To Ship items are in store and ready to ship within 2 - 3 business days. Custom designs, engraved items and order changes add to processing time.

We currently only ship to the U.S. and Canada. Free shipping is offered for all U.S. orders. For Canadian orders, please contact Customer Service at 617-236-7660 for details.

Return Details

Online: 

We accept returns for online purchases (purchases made through and paid for via our website) on most fine jewelry (necklaces, earrings, bracelets and stacking rings) within 14 days of the first day your package is out for delivery. After 14 days, all sales are final. An online purchase is a purchase that is made via the website, not via invoice or in-store. All of our designs are made by hand especially for you, so all returns will incur a 30% restocking fee, except for Ready to Ship items. Ready to Ship items are eligible for return and refund within 14 days of the first day your package is out for delivery. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the client. All packages returned must be received back in the gallery within the 14 day return window. Items must be returned in unworn, sellable condition, accompanied by all original packaging. 

Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands:

All engagement rings and wedding bands are made to order, using your choice of center stone, metal, and in your ring size; they are not eligible for returns or refunds. Should you be unhappy with the ring you receive for any reason, reach out to us via email at Gallery@LauraPreshong.com. 

Return Shipping:

Please contact us prior to returning any items for a return shipping number, so we can be sure it arrives safely and you are credited in a timely manner. Clients are responsible for return shipping costs, and we highly recommend that you insure your package - we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail.

 Custom designs, customized designs, engraved, worn, damaged and sized items are not eligible for return.

Return dates are determined starting with the first day your item is available for delivery.

In-Store: 

All in-store purchases are eligible for Exchange or Store Credit for 14 days from purchase date. This policy applies to fine jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and non-sized stacking rings) purchased in our South End, Boston gallery, via invoice, or telephone. Diamond and gemstone center stones, engagement rings and wedding bands purchased in the gallery are non-refundable.

  All custom designs, customized designs, rush orders, pieces set with client stones, sized items, engraved items, and damaged or worn items are not eligible for return.

Within 30 days of receipt, we offer one Complimentary Resizing for our gold and platinum ring styles. Custom design, customized, and engraved rings may be subject to resize fees.  For more information contact us at 617-236-7660.

Please note that returned items must be in their original, unworn condition and accompanied by all original documentation. Due to their personalized nature, the following orders are non-returnable: Items that have been modified, engraved, or resized; items that have previously been exchanged; and custom designed jewelry. If a piece is returned for a refund or canceled during production, your next purchase will qualify as final sale. Size alterations to orders currently in process void the complimentary resize, return and exchange policies. If you have a special request for a later delivery date, our 14 Day return/exchange period begins on the date that your order was first available to ship. Similarly, if you plan on picking up your ring from our Boston store, our 14 day return/exchange period begins on the date that your order is available for pick up. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and fees will not be refunded in the case of a return.

How to Return an Order

1. Obtain the Return Shipping Authorization Code: Call us at 617-236-7660 to obtain a return shipping authorization code and if applicable to request your free return ground shipping label for loose stones, and all gold or platinum rings. Write your return shipping authorization code on the outside of the package you are returning, do not write jewelry, diamonds or other value related words anywhere on the package.

2. Pack Your Order Securely: For all returns and exchanges, include all original packaging and accompanying materials, including the packing slip and all diamond certificates (a $300 replacement fee per certificate will be charged for missing certificates). For resizes, do not include original certificates and accompanying materials.
