Shipping & Returns

Shipping Details

Laura Preshong offers Free Shipping on all of your online purchases. All fine jewelry(earrings, necklaces, bracelets and stacking rings) orders are shipped via US Mail Priority, signature required. Engagement rings and wedding bands are shipped Fed Ex Express Saver(3 business days). You will receive an email confirmation once your order ships with a tracking number for your convenience. Fed Ex Standard overnight shipping is available for an additional fee at check out and is recommended for engagement rings and larger purchases. Insurance is available at an additional charge, as we can not be responsible for packages that may become lost while in transit. Contact us with any shipping questions or to add insurance to your package.

All of our jewelry is handmade to order especially for you and will take approximately 3 Weeks To Complete and Ship, depending on the design. The estimated production time for each item is available under 'Details' in the product listings. Ready To Ship items are in store and ready to ship within 3 to 4 business days. Custom designs, engraved items and order changes add to processing time.

We currently only ship within the U.S.

Return Details

Online

Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands

Engagement Rings available in our Prix Fixe Collection(a collection of our most popular styles sold complete with an expertly selected diamond or Moissanite center stone) are available for Returns within 14 Days starting from the first day your package is out for delivery. The ring must be received back in the gallery within the 14 Day review period, packaged securely, and returned in unworn, undamaged condition. Contact us for your RA number prior to shipping. All packaging, and certificates must be returned with the item, lost GIA certificates will result in a 200.00 deduction from your refund. Shipping charges of any kind are nonrefundable. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the client, and packages must be received back in the gallery within the 14 day return window. After 14 days, all sales are final.  

All traditional engagement rings(you select the center stone and the ring setting separately), and wedding bands are hand made to order, using your choice of center stone, metal, and in the size of your choice; they are not currently eligible for returns or refunds. All diamonds, gemstones, custom designs, customized designs, rush orders, pieces set with client stones, sized items, engraved items, and damaged or worn items are not eligible for return.

Fine Jewelry 

Ready to Ship items are eligible for returns within 14 Days starting from the first day your package is out for delivery. The item must be received back in the gallery within the 14 Day review period, packaged securely, and returned in unworn, undamaged condition. Contact us for your RA number prior to shipping. Shipping charges of any kind are nonrefundable.  

We accept returns for Made to Order Fine Jewelry(necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and stackable rings that are not engagement or wedding rings) purchased online through our website, within 14 days of the first day your order is available/out for delivery. There is a 15% Restocking Fee for all Made to Order Fine Jewelry returns. An online purchase is a purchase that is made via the website, not via invoice or in-store. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the client, and packages must be received back in the gallery within the 14 day return window. After 14 days, all sales are final. 

Items must be returned in unworn, sellable condition, accompanied by all original packaging and certificates. If a piece is returned for a refund or canceled during production, your next purchase will qualify as final sale. Size alterations to orders currently in process void the complimentary re-sizing policies, and will count as your complimentary free sizing. Policies are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to refuse any order. 

 

In-Store

Engagement Rings and Wedding Bands

All engagement rings, and wedding bands are hand made to order, using your choice of center stone, metal, and in the size of your choice; they are not eligible for returns or refunds. 

Fine Jewelry

In-store Fine Jewelry(necklaces, earrings, bracelets and stacking rings-non engagement rings or wedding bands) purchases of in stock items are eligible for Exchange or Store Credit for 14 days from purchase date. This policy applies to fine jewelry (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and non-sized stacking rings) purchased in our South End, Boston gallery, via invoice, or telephone.

All diamonds, gemstones, custom designs, customized designs, rush orders, pieces set with client stones, sized items, engraved items, and damaged or worn items are not eligible for return.

We offer one Complimentary Resizing for our gold and platinum ring styles within 90 Days of notification of ring completion or the first day your ring is out for delivery. Custom design, customized, and engraved rings may be subject to resize fees. Size alterations to orders currently in process void the complimentary resizing policies, and will count as your complimentary free sizing. For more information contact us at 617-236-7660. Shipping fees for re-sizing to the gallery and for the returned item are the responsibility of the client.

Please note that returned and exchanged items must be in their original, unworn condition and accompanied by all original documentation. Due to their personalized nature, the following orders/sales are non-returnable: Items that have been modified, engraved, or resized; items that have previously been exchanged; and custom designed jewelry. If a piece is returned for a refund or canceled during production, your next purchase will qualify as final sale. Size alterations to orders currently in process void the complimentary resizing policies, and will count as your complimentary free sizing. If you have a special request for a later delivery date, our 14 Day return/exchange period begins on the date that your order was first available to ship. Similarly, if you plan on picking up your ring from our Boston store, our 14 day return/exchange period begins on the date that your order is available for pick up. Any shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and fees will not be refunded in the case of a return or exchange.

 

Return Shipping

Please contact us prior to returning any items for a return shipping number, so we can be sure it arrives safely and you are credited in a timely manner. Clients are responsible for return shipping costs, and we highly recommend that you insure your package - we are not responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail.

Custom designs, customized designs, engagement rings, wedding bands, engraved, worn, damaged and sized items are not eligible for return.

Return dates are determined starting with the first day your item is available/out for delivery.

 

How to Return an Order

1. Obtain the Return Shipping Authorization Code: Call us at 617-236-7660 to obtain a return shipping authorization code. Write your return shipping authorization code on the outside of the package you are returning, do not write jewelry, diamonds or other value related words anywhere on the package.

2. Pack Your Order Securely: For all returns and exchanges, include all original packaging and accompanying materials, including the packing slip and all diamond certificates (a $200 replacement fee per certificate will be charged for missing certificates). For resizes, do not include original certificates and accompanying materials.
